Winston Alton Brown

Winston Alton Brown, devoted husband, father, and respected fisherman of Port Maria, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 70.

Winston was born on September 3, 1955, and spent his entire life along the beautiful northern coast of Jamaica. He learned the art of fishing from his father and grandfather, carrying on a family tradition that spanned generations.

Known for his warm spirit and generous heart, Winston was always willing to share his catch with those in need. He mentored many young men in the fishing trade, teaching them not just the skills of the sea, but the importance of integrity and community.

Winston is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pauline; his children Winston Jr., Marcus, and Angela; and 7 grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
