Life Story
Doreen Patricia Thompson, loving matriarch and cornerstone of her family, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on July 22, 1938, in Oracabessa, St. Mary, Doreen was one of eight children. She moved to Port Maria after her marriage to the late Herbert Thompson in 1960.
Doreen was famous throughout the parish for her incredible cooking, especially her jerk chicken and festival. Her home was always open, and no one left her table hungry. She was a woman of deep faith, spending her mornings in prayer and her evenings reading Scripture to her grandchildren.
She leaves behind 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert and her eldest son, Raymond.
From the Family: A repast will be held at the family home following the burial service. All are welcome.
